JAAX Labs is a two-founder AI studio. These are the terms for using this site and working with us — in plain English, because that's how we'd want to read them.

1. The short version
By using jaaxlabs.com (the "Site") or engaging us, you agree to what's below. We run JAAX Labs and Sentinel ourselves, so we keep these terms honest and short. If anything here doesn't sit right before we start work, tell us — we'll sort it out in writing.
2. What we do
JAAX Labs builds and runs AI in production: consulting, development, integration, and automation for a small set of clients, plus our own product, Sentinel, a weekly intelligence layer for Shopify stores. Anything on the Site — pricing ranges, sample outputs, timelines — is there to inform you, not to form a contract on its own. The real agreement for any project is the proposal or statement of work (SOW) we both sign.
3. How engagements work
Every engagement runs off a written SOW that sets the scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees. A few things that are true of how we work, unless your SOW says otherwise:
- We cap sprints at 14 days. Scope is fixed per sprint; new scope is a new sprint.
- Fees, payment schedule, and any refund terms live in the SOW. Where the SOW and these terms disagree, the SOW wins.
- We're builders, not a body shop — you work directly with the two of us, not a junior layer.
4. Who owns what
The Site itself — its words, design, and code — belongs to JAAX Labs. For client work, ownership of what we build for you is assigned in your SOW (typically to you, on full payment). Our own tools, methods, and anything pre-existing we bring to the work stay ours. Don't copy or republish Site content without asking.
5. Confidentiality
What you share with us during a project stays between us, and the same goes the other way. If we need something more formal, we'll sign a separate NDA.
6. What we don't promise
The Site is provided "as is." We can't promise it's always up, error-free, or that any result you see described will repeat for your situation — AI work depends on your data, your stack, and your goals. Nothing here is legal, financial, or investment advice.
7. Where our liability stops
To the extent the law allows, JAAX Labs isn't liable for indirect or knock-on losses from your use of the Site. For paid work, our liability is limited to what's set out in your SOW.
8. Links we don't control
We sometimes link to other sites and tools. We're not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.
9. Changes
We may update these terms now and then. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and using the Site after a change means you're good with it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kanpur, India.
